With our convenient weekly or bi-weekly subscriptions, you’ll receive two dozen pasture-raised eggs straight from our Madison County farm, hand-gathered and packed with care. We offer front-door delivery in Des Moines and its surrounding suburbs, so you can enjoy fresh, local eggs without the grocery store trip.

EGGS:

Our eggs are brushed clean but unwashed for maximum nutrition benefits and an extended shelf life - no refrigeration needed!

Unwashed eggs can be stored at room temperature for 3 weeks or longer if kept cool. This is safe because they retain the natural protective bloom on their shell, which helps keep bacteria out.

If the eggs are washed (wet-washed), this bloom is removed, and the eggs must be refrigerated immediately to reduce risk of Salmonella. Washed eggs must be stored in the refrigerator and will keep for up to 4 months.

Always wash hands and preparation surfaces after handling eggs.

PRODUCE:

Enjoy your produce within the first 3–5 days for maximum freshness and flavor, though heartier items like root vegetables and squash may last longer when stored properly.

CHICKEN:

To keep your pasture-raised chicken safe and delicious, please follow these guidelines:

Store fresh chicken in the refrigerator at 40°F or below. Use within 1–2 days of delivery.
For longer storage, freeze immediately. Whole chickens keep best for up to 12 months in the freezer.
Always thaw in the refrigerator, never at room temperature. Allow approximately 24 hours per 4–5 pounds of chicken.
Wash hands, utensils, and surfaces thoroughly after handling raw poultry.
Cook chicken to an internal temperature of 165°F, measured at the thickest part of the breast or thigh.
