Farm
What makes your farm “regenerative”?
We practice regenerative agriculture, which means we focus on restoring soil health, promoting biodiversity, and raising animals in harmony with nature.
Our hens, livestock, and produce fields are managed without artificial inputs such as synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, antibiotics, or chemicals in order to keep our pristine land, animals, and food as natural and healthy as possible.
We’re also certified through Soil Regen with the Verified Regenerative™ seal. This independent verification confirms that our farming practices measurably improve soil health, increase carbon capture, support biodiversity, and build long-term resilience for our land and community.
Where is your farm located?
We’re a small family farm located in beautiful Madison County, Iowa, and our business office is in Downtown Des Moines. We serve the greater Des Moines metro area with local delivery, including West Des Moines, Ankeny, Urbandale, Johnston, Clive, Norwalk, and more.
Subscriptions, Farm Membership, and Ordering
How do subscriptions work?
Choose your favorite products and subscribe to regular deliveries, such as weekly pasture-raised eggs, monthly meat boxes, or seasonal produce shares. Your subscriptions arrive fresh to your door, and you can pause or cancel anytime.
As a small family farm with hard-to-find regenerative products, our inventory is always limited. We offer subscriptions to Farm Members first. If a product is not in season or subscriptions are currently sold out, you can join the waitlist to be notified when it becomes available.
Can I buy products without a subscription?
Right now, we focus on serving our subscription members first. When we have extra eggs, meat, or produce, we may offer one-time purchase options for local delivery or pickup at area farmer's markets and other locations. We typically offer gift products and subscriptions in the fall for the holiday season as inventory allows.
What is a Farm Membership?
A Farm Membership is the best way to enjoy consistent access to our regenerative farm products while supporting a local Iowa farm. Members receive priority access to subscriptions for pasture-raised eggs, grass-fed meats, and seasonal produce, along with free local delivery in the Des Moines metro area (including West Des Moines, Ankeny, Urbandale, Johnston, and Clive).

Is there a delivery fee?
Delivery is always free on unlimited subscriptions and products with your Annual Farm Membership.
If you are not a Farm Member, there is typically a small local delivery fee added to your cart which helps to cover our expenses.
Is there a farm pickup or retail option?
For now, we focus on convenient home delivery. As demand grows, we may add a standard pickup option. We occasionally sell our products at area farmer's markets, local retail stores, and other pickup locations.
When will my products be delivered?
We typically deliver Monday through Friday during regular business hours. We will let you know via email when your delivery will arrive a few days in advance.
What if I’m not home during delivery?
No problem! We’ll leave your delivery in a safe, shaded spot. You may also specify instructions during checkout. We recommend refrigerating or storing them as soon as possible. During extreme temperatures or inclement weather, we will take additional precautions in order to ensure your food remains fresh.
Eggs
What’s the difference between pasture-raised and cage-free or free-range eggs?
Pasture-raised hens live outdoors with fresh grass, sunshine, and room to roam. Their diverse diet results in healthier, tastier, and more nutrient-rich eggs. Cage-free and free-range hens often still live indoors with limited space.
Are your eggs organic?
While we follow organic practices, we aren’t certified organic yet. Our hens eat a non-GMO, soy-free diet and forage naturally on pasture with no antibiotics or artificial chemical inputs.
We are certified as a Regenerative Verified™ farm, however. Most consider regeneratively-grown food to be better than organic in terms of health benefits, animal welfare, and positive environmental impact.
Do your eggs contain soy, GMOs, or other additives?
No way. Our eggs are soy-free and come from hens that are fed a clean, non-GMO diet. We never use artificial inputs such as fertilizers, pesticides, antibiotics, or other chemicals in our farming practices.
How long do your eggs stay fresh?
Our eggs are collected daily and delivered fresh.
If kept refrigerated after washing, they typically last 3-4 weeks.
If you prefer to keep them unwashed, they can be stored at room temperature for about 2 weeks (though we often find we can keep them out even longer), or refrigerated for up to 2-3 months thanks to their natural protective bloom.
Do I need to wash my eggs?
No. Eggs naturally have a protective coating called the bloom that seals the shell and keeps out bacteria.
If you keep your eggs unwashed, they can safely be stored at room temperature for about 2 weeks or refrigerated for 2–3 months.
If you choose to wash them, be sure to refrigerate afterward and enjoy within 3–4 weeks.
How should I was my eggs if I choose to?
If you want to wash your eggs:
1. Wait until just before use or refrigeration — washing removes the natural bloom.
2. Use warm water (warmer than the egg itself) to avoid pulling bacteria inside the shell.
3. Gently rub with your hands or a soft cloth; avoid soaking.
4. Dry completely before refrigerating.
